Robert Diekgräf has been a notary since 1998 and is now partner in the firm. He accompanies a wide-ranging group of clients in all facets of real estate law, corporate law, probate law and family law. Project developments in the real estate sector are included in his remit just as much as portfolio acquisitions and support for institutional real estate investors, but he is equally delighted to attend to purchase contracts for ‘ordinary’ properties. Corporate transactions are among his core competencies, in addition to accompanying company groups in all areas of corporate and reorganisation law. He also supports families in issues of company and estate succession and in the area of personal pension provisions. In addition to bequest agreements, this also includes wills and prenuptial contracts. Even after 20 years as a notary, he remains fascinated by the rich variety, the constant diversity and all these issues, both major and minor, that matter to people.
Robert Diekgräf was born in 1962, is married and has three adult children. The first grandchildren have arrived as well.
He accepted a position as marketing trainee with Unilever after graduating in law from the University of Hamburg and sitting his first state examination. His path back to the legal profession began with his dissertation in stock corporation law, followed by his legal traineeship and concurrent work as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg in the area of civil, commercial and corporate law. After his second state examination, Robert Diekgräf worked for several years as in-house lawyer for corporate and antitrust law at Axel Springer Verlag AG, where he most recently reported directly to the chairman of the board. The experience he acquired during this period prompted him to embrace the independence, impartiality and autonomy of the notarial profession.
