Patrick Binzel has been in-house counsel at Notare am Alstertor since 2014. He is very familiar with all matters arising in a notary office, whereby he mainly consults in the field of corporate law (also in an international context).
Patrick Binzel read law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, where he specialised in commercial and corporate law. After the first state examination, he enrolled in a programme at the University of San Diego (School of Law), which he successfully completed with a Master of Laws (LL.M.). His legal traineeship was spent at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg. After sitting the second state examination, Patrick Binzel went on to earn a doctorate from the University of Hamburg on a topic relating to telecommunications. He then worked for more than 10 years as a lawyer in the areas of M&A/private equity and corporate law, first at the international law firm Gleiss Lutz in Berlin and then at the Corinius law firm in Hamburg.
He speaks German (native language), English (business-fluent) and French (basic skills).
