Dr. Frank Martens

Frank Martens has been in-house counsel at Notare am Alstertor since 2014. He is involved in all notarial matters, especially in the area of project development.

Frank Martens initially completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk with Commerzbank AG in Hamburg before enrolling in his alternative national service at an integrative day-care centre and then studying law in Kiel. During this time, he also worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Business and Tax Law under Prof. Joachim Jickeli, who also supervised his doctoral thesis on corporate and real estate law. He spent his legal traineeship at the Schleswig Higher Regional Court. After passing his 2nd state examination, Frank Martens first worked as a lawyer with Latham & Watkings in Hamburg in the areas of M&A and corporate law. He was a lawyer with HASPA Finanzholding for over ten years, most recently as head of department, before moving to Notare am Alstertor.
