Electronic data interchange is increasing in importance also for the public registers. At a particularly advanced stage is electronization of the commercial register. Applications to the commercial register including the relevant attachments are filed electronically. A software (Xnotar) developed on behalf of the Federal Chamber of Notaries (BNotK) structures the data records in such a way that the administration expense of the registry courts is kept to an absolute minimum. Our notariate has always clearly seen the advantages of electronic data processing. We were among the pioneers of the special software introduced for notariates. Partners of our firm were also involved in the development and improvement of software for communication with the commercial register.
